Here’s a thought that deserves you.
LIMNS is a daily practice of human philosophy. You write your moment, and from across time and tradition, two thinkers arrive to rhyme with it, widening your sense of what it means to be alive.
An artwork arises beside them: an aesthetic reflection, another way of sensing this meeting.
Over time, your reflections trace your philosophical portrait.
You bring the moment —
LIMNS brings the thinkers and artists.
LIMNS grew out of my PhD research in the humanities, and a belief that philosophy doesn’t need to rest in books. Philosophy can bring texture to how we experience the world, and illuminate it.
To limn: to outline, to sketch, to depict; and in its oldest sense, from the Latin illuminare, to illuminate.
LIMNS is a contemplative practice, not therapy or a substitute for professional care. If you’re in distress, please contact a mental-health professional or a helpline.
