LIMNS is a philosophical journaling app based in Ontario, Canada. Your privacy matters to us, especially because journal entries can be personal. This Policy explains what information we collect and what we do with it.
We collect the email address needed to create and access your LIMNS account.
We collect the journal entries you choose to submit and the reflections LIMNS creates for you.
We may collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Service, such as your IP address and your device or browser type. We use it to run LIMNS, limit free use, prevent abuse and keep the Service secure.
If you subscribe, we receive the information needed to recognize your subscription from Apple or Google or, where we offer website subscriptions, from our payment provider. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
We collect information you choose to send us if you contact support.
LIMNS does not ask for your precise location or your full date of birth as part of ordinary account registration.
We use this information to provide your account, generate and save your reflections, operate subscriptions and reflection limits, keep LIMNS secure, fix technical problems and respond to support requests.
To create your reflection, LIMNS sends the information needed for that request to Anthropic, our AI service provider. Anthropic processes it to return the reflection to LIMNS.
LIMNS does not use your private journal entries to train its own AI model.
We do not sell your journal entries or personal information.
We do not use your journal entries for targeted advertising.
We do not make private journal entries public unless you choose to share content using a LIMNS sharing feature.
We use service providers only as needed to operate LIMNS, such as AI, hosting, authentication, payment, technical and subscription services. They may process information on our behalf for those purposes.
We keep your account and saved journal/reflection history while your account is active, unless you delete content sooner.
You can delete entries and your account using the controls provided by LIMNS. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or with service providers under their normal retention practices.
LIMNS is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age where you live if it is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we will delete the account and its personal information.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
You can delete entries and your account through LIMNS. You can also contact us at support@mylimns.com about your personal information.
LIMNS is based in Canada and uses service providers that may process information in Canada, the United States or other countries, where the laws may differ from those where you live. If you use LIMNS from another country, you are responsible for following the laws where you live, and by using LIMNS you accept that your information will be processed as described here.
We may update this Privacy Policy as LIMNS changes. We will update the date above. If you keep using LIMNS after an update, you accept the updated Policy.
